Diogenes Factory Scene

One of the cornerstones of the highly regarded Will Anderson Collection.

This lithograph from the Diogenes Brewing Co. at Wyckoff Avenue Decatur Street of Evergreen, Greater New York, NY has rich subject matter including the brewery factory, the early brewery office building at bottom left, a vignette at bottom right with Diogenes toasting two monks in front of large casks of Wurzburger, Alexander Brew, and Extra Wiener beers, and a large scene of Alexander the Great toasting Diogenes with this text:  " Alexander the Great called upon Diogenes the Wise and to him said "Come of of the Barrel arise come tell me wise man in the barrel forlorn, what can I do for you?"  Oh Great Diogenes replied I crave but one glass of Alexander Brew." "Diogenes Lager Beer" appears on one of the horse drawn wagons.

Vibrant colors and overall excellent condition.  Small loss about 1/3" from the bottom on right edge about the size of a pencil eraser.  Other right edge wear.  Small loss/wear at bottom left corner.  Calendar pad has been removed with resulting tears/holes where it was stapled.  A few small creases on body of lithograph.
